Add-on Publishing Services

     FIG offers a variety of a la carte publishing services, to give your book that extra something you desire. Please note that FIG makes the following services available to any author, not just those choosing to publish with us: Custom Cover Art/Photography, Optical Scan/Correction, Word Processing, Proof/Editorial, and Marketing Consultation.

Second Print Edition: Add either Hardcover or Trade Paper Edition in same trim size, same cover (except for dust-jacket flaps), with separate ISBN, barcode, and cover price.

Cost: $259.00

Custom Cover Art/Photography: Custom Photography must be quoted. Unusually difficult custom artwork must be quoted. Most custom artwork (hand-painted or hand-rendered) is available for the base cost.

Cost: $299.00

Optical Scan/Correction: Most clean, scanable copy is accepted. Copy requiring extensive correction will be billed at the hourly rate.

Cost: $1.50/page

Hourly Correction Rate: $32.00/hour

Word Processing: Word processing from legible copy is the lower of the two rates below.

Cost: $32.00/hour or $0.016/word

After-Publication Revisions: Interior Bookblock changes are at the below rate, and requires a cover change if the page count changes. Cover changes are at the below rate plus expenses such as new art/photo licensing fees. Changes to listed cover price once per quarter are free. New Editions of current FIG books are quoted individually.

Cost: $65.00 plus $32.00/hour

Re-Publication: Switching to FIG from another publisher is quoted individually, depending on how much adaptation is required from provided elements. FIG recommends not purchasing elements from other publishers before consulting with FIG staff.

Marketing Consultation: Direct Consultation may be billed at the below rate with Author approval. Consultation fees may be waived with customized marketing packages (that go beyond what FIG provides free of charge). We also offer Search Engine Optimization (SEO) of your current non-FIG Author website.
